Technology Applications and Integrations

Athletes on a team need to learn how to 'persevere' when learning several new offenses and defenses throughout their athletic careers.  At first these new approaches to the game are difficult to understand,
but by practicing daily, these new plays that are integrated into their system become natural and they
eventually improve the success of the team.  This key area has taught me 'perseverance' and how to
learn by doing.  I was introduced to a variety of technology tools that can be used to enhance the delivery of
my teaching instruction. To be successful I need to continue to use these tools on a daily basis to increase
my user knowledge.  As my knowledge base increases, I will be able to share my new knowledge to provide
growth in my colleagues, my students and in myself.

Freeman Swimming Pool Website: This is a website that a colleague and I created early in our TET journey.  We created this as a basis for a future site that will be able to be accessed from the City of Freeman Website.

Smartboard PowerPoint: This is a PowerPoint that two colleagues and I created for our Internship.  We decided to focus on the technology of the Smartboard to familiarize the teachers in our school on its capabilities as a different mode of instruction.  In the PowerPoint we included Smartboard tutorials, website resources, lessons and interactive activities.  These resources are stored on a special drive on our Network for teachers to access at their convenience.

Money PowerPoint: This money PowerPoint was created to use technology as a way to deliver a money lesson to my first grade students.

Multimedia PowerPoint: Two colleagues and I created a video to promote the town of Freeman.  The creation of this video involved using a digital video camera and Movie Maker software.  We witnessed how valuable digital camera's can be in actively involving our students in the learning process.

Hand Held Lesson Tutorial PowerPoint:  This "Study Buddy" tutorial was one of my 1st PowerPoints ever created. I chose to create a handheld tutorial so my third grade students could have a resource to read if they forgot how to navigate through the "Study Buddy" vocabulary program on their handheld.

the natural curiosity of young minds for the purpose of satisfying it afterwards."  ~Anatole France
